As part of the *Red One* movieโs main ad campaign, Amazon/MGM approached us to create an immersive augmented reality (AR) experience. The result? Players can shoot snowmen with lasers and rack up points in a fun, interactive game. This was one of the first major ad campaigns to feature Snapchatโs new Leaderboard feature, bringing the *Red One* movie's characters into users' real-world environments, while also pushing the limits of AR technology. The 3D modeling for the snowmen was a creative challenge that allowed us to integrate Hollywood movie characters in an entirely new way.
The gameplay is all about shooting snowmen with lasers and gaining points for each successful shot. Players can hit the body or head of snowmen, each with different health points and visual effects triggered based on where theyโre hit:
